KRD membership is made up of women from Nelson BC and the surrounding area who mirror the diversity of our charming city. It is important to us that we are a valuable cog in the wheel of our community and we strive to be involved in activities that help our fellow citizens be strong and resilient. Sometimes its planting daffodils near the entrance to the city, assisting with the maintenance and functioning of our free refurbished hop-on-hop-off Trolley or fundraising for chemo chairs at the Cancer Floor at the Kootenay Lake Hospital. We participate annually in the Terry Fox Run and The Coldest Night of the year. In February 2023 we participated in the Polka Dot Dragon Lantern Festival. Please take a browse and enjoy.

Dryland training is for all paddlers to learn and/or refresh:
These Dryland sessions help minimize the need for “on the water” explanations and maximize learning speed. The coaches are going to be focusing on the stroke recovery so we encourage seasoned paddlers to attend at least a couple of these sessions.
Please remember to bring indoor shoes to change into to ensure safety during warm up and cool down.
Our Dryland Training season starts on April, 8th 2025 continuing each subsequent Tuesday in April.
Time: 6 PM (Doors open at 5:30 PM)
